Mental health is not the absence of mental disorders.

You know that you are mentally in a good shape if:

  • You understand that the fluctuations in your mental health are natural.
  • You feel mostly good.
  • There’s a sense of belonging.
  • You cope with your circumstances well.
  • You do say ‘no’ to people.
  • You have healthy relationships.
  • You don’t try to please everyone.

Just as it’s important to look after your physical health and wellbeing, you MUST look after your mental and emotional health as well.  Ask for help if you are NOT well.  It’s easier to stay out of the deep dark hole than get out of there, once you’ve hit the bottom.
