At Excel Recovery Services, we focus on Wellness in 2022. I believe having FUN is very much part of being well.

Life has been or has become quite overwhelming over the last few years. There are and have been SO many influences which do and/or can steal your joy and happiness. For this reason, it’s of utmost importance to consciously create pockets of joy, happiness and fun.

What is fun?

Enjoyment, amusement or light-hearted pleasure.

How do you describe joy?

The emotion of great delight or happiness caused by something exceptionally good or satisfying, keen pleasure, elation.

At ERS we make it our business to create fun, happy moments in the office. We take “Work hard, play hard” very serious!

Although these moments do not take away the stress and problems you have, it makes them more bearable.

Just close your eyes and imagine what you felt like after a good belly laugh? Everything seems easier to deal with and your entire mood lifts.

Studies have shown that smiling releases endorphins, other natural painkillers, and serotonin. Together, these brain chemicals make us feel good from head to toe. Not only do they elevate your mood, but they also relax your body and reduce physical pain.

Smiling is a natural drug.

Isn’t this a good enough reason to make sure that you have a good laugh often?

So how do we do it at ERS?

  • We play games at the office. Even if it takes 30 minutes out of our day. The smiles and fun are absolutely worth it!
  • We’ve got regular team-building events, which must ALWAYS include a fun element.
  • We’ve got “request” Wednesday, where everybody can play their “feel-good” song to enjoy with the entire team.
  • Have “theme” days and make total fools of ourselves – laughing together.

It is important for your wellbeing to create pockets of fun every day.

Create moments where you can be a child again.

 When last have you:

  • Walked barefoot in the rain?
  • Blew bubbles?
  • Played in the mud?
  • Spent time with a pet?




It doesn’t matter what you need to do, to smile or laugh, JUST DO IT!
